Flip/Flop February Day 12

My drips are totally anti-valentine's day!! I used the OPI Liquid Sand polish I just got for these - FANTASTIC! I was worried I wouldn't be able to control the design or that it would look weird but these came out perfectly :)

Flip/Flop February Day 11

This was my first time trying out Splatter nails and I LOVE them!!! SO MUCH LOVE <3

As always, go check out the other cool bloggers!!

Flip/Flop February Day 10

Day 10 was a huge challenge for me - I've never done half moons or fish tail!! I decided to go with fish tail...it was pretty easy to do but I wasn't all that thrilled with the outcome.

Go check out the other bloggers who were actually successful!!

Flip/Flop February Day 9

I did these abstract nails in January and just never got around to posting them! I LOVE the color combo though - I basically pulled out all my neon polishes and tried to use every single one! :)

Go check the other bloggers out!

Flip/Flop Challenge: Day 8

So I was doing really well until the weekend hit! Thankfully I have all the nails done so I can catch up today. :)

I used a Mardi Gras color scheme and added the white border to represent beads! I usually don't celebrate Mardi Gras but the colors together feel super festive and fun!

Be sure to check out the other great bloggers participating!!

Flip/Flop February Day 7

Hello!

Day 7 and I'm still going strong!

Originally, I planned on doing the Sugar Spun theme but I ran out of time! It's such a time consuming process - hopefully I'll go back to it someday.

Instead I did another Valentine's Day inspired mani! For the pattern, I did a leopard print with some more heart-ish shapes inside. :)

On my thumb and pinky is "Stay the Night", a Liquid Sands polish from OPI! I totally LOVE the texture and feel of it, plus the color is gorgeous. If you enjoy texture like me (I love studs!) you'll probably like it!

Now go check out some more awesome Flip/Flop nails :)

Flip/Flop February Challenge: Day 6

Hey everyone! Today is Day 6 of the Flip/Flop February Challenge and I LOVE my nails!

I saw a fan brush nail art tutorial only a little while ago and thought it was a fantastic idea!! I'd used my fan brush in acrylic painting before but hadn't even thought to use it on my nails.

My first try was a no-go - the colors blended too much and looked super weird! But my second try was awesome!

The super bright neon yellow-green was a gift from a friend! I was TOTALLY joking when I asked him to buy me nail polish on a shopping trip to an outlet mall, but he surprised me with this one!!

The best part is that I had been contemplating the night before on my lack of a true yellow-green! It also has a slight blue shimmer to it that's hard to tell since I added glitter on top. But it's such a pretty polish! <3

Now go check out the other great designs for today!

Flip/Flop February Day 5

Hello everyone! Day 5 of the Flip/Flop challenge and I haven't flopped yet :D

Today's theme was "3D", so I chose to use my heart rhinestones/studs to make some love letters!

I really like these! I just wish my nails were more square so it looked more like envelopes.

Go check out the other great designs!

Flip Flop February Day 4

This month is the Flip/Flop February challenge! It's being hosted by Jilltastic Nail Design - she has done an amazing job coming up with the prompts!
Everyday has TWO options (harder on the left, easier on the right) so everyone can participate! I love it because two options means twice the inspiration! This post has everything defined so no more guessing what technique she means!

Today I went with the "easy" side, because I'm absolutely terrible at one stroke painting. However, I love how simple and elegant this ombre looks!

I really love love this one!

Go check out the other cool mani's for today:

Flip/Flop February Day 3

This month is the Flip/Flop February challenge! It's being hosted by Jilltastic Nail Design - she has done an amazing job coming up with the prompts!

So I have a love/hate relationship with water marbling. Sometimes it comes out AMAZING and others are just awful...

I'm not really happy with this one...something about the blue/orange I used made weird colors and the polish wasn't cooperating with the patterns I wanted. However, the actual marbling turned out well, with no missed spots or water bubbles so I can't complain too much.

Go check out some great marbling by other participating bloggers!

Flip Flop February: Day 2

This month is the Flip/Flop February challenge! It's being hosted by Jilltastic Nail Design. Here are the prompts:
Everyday has TWO options (harder on the left, easier on the right) so everyone can participate! I love it because two options means twice the inspiration! This post has everything defined - that's right, everything.

I'm playing catch up, but Day 2 ended up being one of my favorites!

I started by making a simple flower design with a dotting tool, then going back with a tiny striping brush to make the "stained glass". The outcome was so much better than I expected!

And I now have Revlon Girly!!! I've been wanting this one for awhile, but hadn't seen it at Walgreens. My dad took me shopping Saturday, so I made him go to Target (I had seen a post saying Target had it). FAIL! They didn't have it, so I grabbed the ankle brace I was really there for. (And a ton of other stuff I didn't really need but wanted...Target's like that.)

Once we got back to my apartment, my dad and I spent about 15 minutes trying to figure out the ankle brace I bought. Once we got it on correctly, we realized it was too small for my foot (I have big feet).

So we headed to Walgreens and Revlon Girly was there!

Go check out all the other great mani's for Day 2!

Flip Flop February: Day 1

Hey everyone! It's great to be BACK!

Sorry for the unintentional hiatus - I haven't had internet in my apartment and this semester of school is kicking my butt!

This month though, is the FLIP\FLOP FEBRUARY challenge! It's being hosted by Jilltastic Nail Design - she has done an amazing job coming up with the prompts!
Everyday has TWO options (harder on the left, easier on the right) so everyone can participate! I love it because two options means twice the inspiration! This post has everything defined - that's right, everything.

Day 1 was Gradient/Skittle - I'm not a huge fan of skittles, so I went for a gradient!

Instead of doing a traditional sponging, I used tiny diamonds to create my gradient! The pink I used is China Glaze's "Escaping Reality" from the Cirque Du Soleil: World's Away collection. I seriously LOVE it - the perfect neon hot pink with a fairly matte/jelly like finish.

Now go check out all the other great participating bloggers!
